Adrian Hangg from Germany is the 2026 Barrage World Champion. At the LEVEL building in Leiden on Thursday, 30 July 2026, he scored an impressive 90 points and convincingly finished in first place.
Barrage is a fast and dynamic version of Stratego, played with only eight pieces per player. The World Championship consisted of nine rounds, with players facing the same opponent twice in each round. Each game had a ten-minute time limit: one minute to set up and nine minutes of actual playing time. Fast thinking, quick decisions and very little room for mistakes.
Adrian Hangg proved to be the strongest at this fast-paced form of Stratego. With 90 points, he finished comfortably ahead of Greece’s Dimitrios Kosmopoulos, who scored 80 points. Ray Manji from Canada finished third with 75 points.
Congratulations, Adrian Hangg – 2026 Barrage World Champion!
